The main goal of the R2S Team Edition is to achieve the highest jumps in collaboration with a kite buddy (buddies). A team's success is determined by the highest jumps of its team members, measured by Surfr.
Divisions:
There are two divisions in which participants can compete:
- Division 13+: Participants who can jump higher than 13 m on average. (Use the average of your 3 highest jumps measured with Surfr or Woo, all time)
- Division 13-: Participants who do not yet jump above 13 m.
Teams:
Each team consists of two (or more) kitesurfers, who identify themselves with a team name and a corresponding theme for their outfit.
Competition:
Team member 1 goes into the water in round 1 and has 25 minutes to put his highest jump on the board.
5 minutes break
Team member 2 goes into the water in round 2 and has 25 minutes to put his highest jump on the board
5 minutes break
The best 8 teams go to the final
Judging:
Only the two highest jumps of the team are taken into account for the final score
Average team jump height = decisive (12 + 15 / 2)
10% margin on team results, average top 5 jumps
Measurement method:
Surfr app in 2 heats. In the first round, you are both in a separate heat. The 8 best couples compete in the final for the win. The combined height of the partners' highest jump wins. The 2 best duos (or 3 depending on the prizes) win prizes.
