Capetown here we come!

Capetown here we come!

This week part of our crew will fly to Cape Town for the winter. Cape Town is known for its strong wind, big waves, amazing views and delicious food. Stijn, Michiel, Marijn and Jurre will spend their winter in Blouberg to train big air, make online content for you to enjoy and work on big SpaceX projects coming in 2023.

From the 24th of November until the 9th of December the King of the Air will be held at kite beach in Blouberg. In this event 18 of the best riders in world will battle it out for the highest fame in kiteboard, being King of the Air. Unfortunately none of our astronauts where selected for this event but they will support our friends and make some epic content for you to consume. We are especially rooting for our Dutch friends and newcomers to the competition; Evan Klijn, Cohan van Dijk, Timo Boersma, Jamie Overbeek and also ofcourse the experienced King of the Air riders Stig Hoefnagel en Giel Vlucht. To predict the podium is hard but we have a good feeling about our Dutch legends and we also think the young Italians have a big shot at the podium.

After King of the Air the final stop of the Big Air kite league will take place. There is a long wind window so we hope to get some extreme conditions for the riders to push their level. Our astronaut Stino will represent SpaceX in the first division and Michiel be flying high in the second division. We are also stoked to see our friend Kimo Verkerk join the Big Air kite league and we think he will make a big impression. Keep your eyes on our YouTube channel to stay in the loop of all the riders, new trick and more!
